Springtime Exhibtion

The Spring Collection explores landscapes around the Canberra region and the artist's childhood  home in regional NSW. Constantly inspired by the world around her, Sophie uses vivid colour, layering and gestural brush strokes to depict the vibrancy of her surroundings.

Sophie is currently experimenting with the layering of colour with short brushstrokes that create a sense of movement and interesting colour interactions around the composition.  

In this series Sophie utilises deep purples and teals that contrast the pinks ,oranges and yellows  within the paintings. Through this use of colour, the large striking works  speak to to each other as a collection as well being effective stand alone pieces
