Join Lea from Mud Dept. for a day of creative fun where you will immersing yourself in the wonderful world of clay.
Learn how to make a leggy pot, planter, set of bowls or even a larger sculptural vase from clay.
Lea will teach you the clay handbuilding techniques of coiling and pinching to make your form. You will learn how to make and attach legs and adornments.
You will have two choices of clay to work with and spend the morning making your piece.
In the afternoon you will be guided how to decorate your pieces with colour, surface texture and sgraffito carving.
The class is suitable for beginners and for those with more experience with clay wanting to try new things. It will be a fun, no stress, gentle day of making with a bunch of lovely people.
Lea will take your pieces back to her studio to fire and glaze. They will be ready for collection from MGC four weeks after your workshop.
All materials will be included.
Morning/afternoon tea will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know so we can try and accommodate you.
We will stop for lunch so are more than welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase from the cafe upstairs.
This class requires a minimum of 6 attendees to go ahead.
